Providing quotations and arranging policy cover is only one part of an insurance broker’s role. Perhaps a more important element is the advice and guidance you receive should you be unfortunate enough to incur a claim. This could be an allegation of negligence under a Professional Indemnity policy, a cyber attack, or a fire, flood or break-in at your home or business premises.
Unusual for brokers of our size, Cox Mahon, the specialist insurance broker, has a dedicated claims support team – as part of our ongoing commitment to offer the highest standard of customer service – staffed by experienced professionals. They will provide the support you need, working alongside you throughout the duration of the process to ensure that the claim is dealt with as swiftly and smoothly as possible.
If you have a claim to be notified under your policy, we will;
If the event has happened out of office hours – and dependent on the type of policy you have i.e. cyber, home insurance, road traffic accidents – your insurers may be able to provide you with a more prompt and efficient service if you report your claim direct to them. This may include a data breach under a cyber insurance policy or storm damage where time is of the essence. Please refer to your policy documents for the relevant contact details.
For more complex or contentious claims, we may conduct site visits, meet with you, with insurers or their loss adjusters to represent your point of view, and provide the expert technical knowledge that can make the difference between success and rejection.
